Two Years In Vogue

We worked between London and Istanbul to design and art direct the first 12 issues of Vogue Turkey. In March 2010 the launch issue broke advertising records with a 562 page magazine

The launch cover starred Jessica Stam. Shot by Patrick Demarchelier in NYC, the series was not initially intended to be the cover shoot, but this candid shot emerged and perfectly mirrored the strength and attitude of our target Turkish readership

The 3rd issue's cover made a feature of the custom fonts that we created exclusively for the magazine. Shot by Chad Pitman, Élise Crombez poses by a Miami pool

Mariano Vivanco's launch issue shoot in Mardin, south Turkey

The launch issue beauty story was shot by Ben Hassett. Being in a new territory for Condé Nast meant that we could break with industry norms and publish esoteric, poetic imagery

The new collections story was shot by John Lindquist and styled by Konca Aykan

Photographer Mark Pillai worked with our fashion director Mary Fellowes

The overall graphic identity was bright and positive but retained a high fashion sensibility
