NEW Episode 4 — Steph Gallia / Uma, architect and designer ↴

Perhaps there’s something to be said for creating within imperfect surroundings. This episode with Steph Gallia from Uma was filmed when our studio was literally a building site. Our painter Encho can be heard in the background in some shots.

The conversation unfolded with very few wasted words, full of innovative breakthroughs, and relaxed pauses for thought. We are very grateful to Steph for sharing Uma’s progress so candidly.

Anyone who runs their own brand will relate to our latest Lunch in the Loft guest, Ranura Edirisinghe. After graduating from the Central Saint Martin’s MA, and a year’s stint at Burberry, Ranura is conscientiously rolling out his eponymous brand. The arc of conversation takes us from space travel to cultural appropriation and the beauty that remains after extracting the clichés, finally arriving at some key decisions to help his brand move forward.

A series where our guests have an informal brand workshop over a lunch break. This rapid, hack-day format is something that is key to our studio practice, and we are happy to be able to share part of the process to a wider audience.
